The ICF Philadelphia chapter thrives because of the passion and dedication of our volunteer leaders. Committees are the heart of our chapter’s work – where ideas become action, and members deepen their connections and impact. Below are our active committees and their focus areas.
Primary Committees
Membership Committee
Provides direction and leadership to maintain and grow ICF Philadelphia’s membership. This team focuses on recruiting new members, engaging current members, and supporting retention efforts.
Education Committee
Designs and delivers a robust calendar of professional development opportunities for coaches. This committee curates learning events, manages virtual logistics, and ensures appropriate Continuing Coach Education Units (CCEUs) are issued.
Community Relations Committee
Builds relationships with local organizations, associations, and business leaders to expand awareness of and engagement in professional coaching. This committee oversees our Ignite pro bono initiative and manages sponsorships and partnerships to amplify the chapter’s impact.
Marketing & Communications Committee
Manages the chapter’s publications, marketing, and outbound communications. This includes content creation for newsletters, the website, and social media platforms like LinkedIn.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Belonging (DEIB) Committee
Promotes a culture of inclusion across all chapter activities. This committee integrates DEIB practices that enhance member experiences and advocate for equitable access to coaching, learning, and leadership opportunities.
In-Person Events Committee
Plans and executes in-person gatherings that foster connection, learning, and community. From logistics to attendee experience, this committee ensures smooth and meaningful in-person events for our members.
Governance Committee
Supports the Board of Directors in fulfilling its fiduciary and operational responsibilities. Oversees adherence to bylaws, manages systems access and documentation, and leads onboarding for new Board members and Committee Chairs.
Secondary Committees
Nominating Committee
Supports the leadership pipeline by identifying, encouraging, and vetting qualified individuals for Board roles in alignment with chapter needs and strategic goals.
Pennsylvania Conference for Women (PAWC) Committee
Plans and coordinates ICF Philadelphia’s presence and engagement at the annual PAWC Coaches’ Corner, a major networking and visibility opportunity for the chapter.
