SUMMARY:Coaching in the Age of AI: Meeting Clients Where They Are with Feli

DESCRIPTION:Coaching in the Age of AI: Meeting Clients Where They Are\n\nHo
 sts: Felice Tilin\, PhD\, PCC and Marco Bertola\, MCC\, MSOD\nCCEU's: TBC\
nCore: ~ | Resource: ~\nAI becomes increasingly present in our clients’
lives and organizations. How do we continue to meet the client where they
are while helping them prepare for where their world is going? AI is enter
ing the coaching conversation whether coaches introduce it or not.\n\nOur
clients are encountering AI in very different ways. Some arrive having alr
eady used AI tools to “coach” themselves. Others have barely experimen
ted with AI or are actively avoiding it. They may lack the time\, interest
\, or the psychological safety to experiment while watching colleagues and
organizations move rapidly around them.\n\nLeaders are increasingly being
asked to introduce AI into their organizations while managing uncertainty
about what it means for people\, roles\, teams\, and jobs. While experime
ntation with AI is widespread\, organizational transformation has lagged.
The challenges are often less about the technology itself and more about p
eople and change.\n\nWhen clients bring AI-generated thinking into coachin
g\, coaches can help deepen reflection and learning. With AI-hesitant clie
nts\, coaching can encourage curiosity and build resilience during change.
With leaders navigating AI-driven change\, coaches can support them in le
ading people and\norganizations through uncertainty.\n\nThis creates impor
tant new territory for coaches. Rather than becoming AI experts\, coaches
need to become increasingly skilled at helping clients think\, learn\, exp
 eriment\, make choices\, and lead through uncertainty.\n\nWhat We’ll Exp
lore\nDuring this interactive session\, we will explore three increasingly
  common coaching situations:\n1. The AI-Enabled Client\n2. The AI-Hesitant
Client\n3. The Leader Navigating AI Transformation\n\nThe goal of this se
ssion is not to teach coaches the latest AI tools. It is to strengthen our
ability to coach the person who is encountering AI.\n\nLearning Objective
s\n1. Recognize three distinct AI-related coaching situations and adapt th
 e coaching conversation to\nthe client’s level of experience\, confidenc
e\, and responsibility.\n2. Explore how to work with clients who bring AI-
generated answers into coaching\, helping them\nmove from information and
 recommendations toward reflection\, judgment\, choice\, and action.\n3. Dr
aw on research and collective experience to generate coaching approaches f
or AI-related\nuncertainty and resistance\, including fear of falling behi
nd\, changing professional identity\, job\ndisruption\, and ambiguity abou
t the future.\n\nA Question at the Center of the Session\nAs AI becomes in
creasingly present in our clients’ lives and organizations\, how do we c
ontinue to meet the client where they are while helping them prepare for w
here their world is going?\n\n[box]Felice J. Tilin is an author\, educator
